The Citizen's Code

Did everyone see page 12 A of the Anniston Star this morning (Sunday, September 12, 2010)? Some anonymous group (or individual) took out a full-page advertisement proclaiming a Citizen's Code we should all sign. It encourages us to be the change we want to see in Calhoun County and make it a better community by agreeing to put aside differences and personal attacks and try to promote positive action through exercising the highest ideals of citizenship. By signing the card we are saying you can count on me to:

1. Be positive about my community.
2. Be respectful of others' opinions.
3. Be neighborly to all.
4. Be supportive of local businesses.
5. Be active through my voice and my vote.

This is definitely a step in the right direction!
